We Don’t Need More Promises—We Need Progress!

Vibrant communities are where people feel safe, connected, and able to thrive. That means affordable housing, clean and welcoming public spaces, and real solutions to homelessness that restore dignity and order. It means supporting small businesses and creating opportunity across our region. And it also means protecting the farmland and natural beauty that defines Oregon.
Strong communities require balance—between growth and preservation, compassion and accountability, vision and results.
Vote Chris Christensen for Metro Council President—because it’s time to restore that balance and build a better future for our region.

Responsible growth is personal to me because I’ve seen how housing decisions affect real people—families struggling to stay in their homes, first-time buyers dreaming of buying a home, and existing homeowners working to build stability for the future.
In my work, I’ve been involved in conversations with government agencies, community groups and developers where ideas had to become reality—where financing, regulations, and community needs all had to align. I’ve seen that when those pieces come together thoughtfully, housing gets built and everyone benefits. The stakes are high, if projects stall, then families and entire communities get left behind.
For me, responsible growth means never losing sight of who it’s really for: our neighbors who call this region home.

I understand the challenges our region faces because, like you, I’ve lived and worked alongside the great people of our region that are most affected by challenges like affordability, livability and community safety.
I believe leadership should be practical, not political—focused on real solutions, fiscal discipline, and results people can see in their daily lives. That means making thoughtful decisions, being transparent about the outcomes, and taking responsibility when things don’t go as planned.
I will show up, do the work, and be accountable—because the people of the Metro region deserve leadership that delivers, not just promises.
Share your ideas, concerns, and vision for our region—I’m here to listen.
